Hi, I'm Eliza! I have been growing my photography business for the last 8 years, and have dove into multiple aspects of digital creations. My passion for photography has been present since I was waiting in line at CVS with my mom for our photos to be developed. It wasn't until 2016 that I purchased my first camera, and the collection has continued to grow. Shortly after, I became the "go-to" for graduation photos for my friends, until I was introduced to boxing.
Beginning my fall semester of 2017, I had joined the Penn State Boxing Team. After years of never planning to compete, I finished my collegiate career with 13 fights, 2 All-American statuses, 1 year of Captain, 1 Female Athlete of the Year Award, and 1 National Championship .. boxing had become my world. Somewhere in between morning sprints and fighting at Nationals did I realize I enjoyed taking action shots of my teammates in the ring. I still LOVED taking pictures!
So, fast forward to 2020:
I landed in the wonderful mile high city - Denver, CO. I created a new name for myself since moving there, and only hoped to continue to grow my business. I have had the pleasure of working with Big Trip, Ekoh, Marc E. Bassy, Chris Webby, and the lifestyle brand - dro. I also began working with The Workbench, and was finally able explore my foodie side! I've had the pleasure of shooting at such great local venues: The Civic Center, Beacon, Cervantes', Mile High Spirits, Number Thirty Eight, and all around Denver. I thrive off the experiences and connections that I make with all my clients and partners. Photography/ videography has opened up so many doors for me, but most importantly has given me the chance to meet the beautiful people of Colorado.
*As of May 2023, EK Photo has relocated back to the East Coast, I commissioned into the Navy, and am a Boxing Coach for the Naval Academy. I am beyond grateful to now work my two biggest passions.
In addition to photography, I've always had a passion to help others. I have traveled to three of the most under-developed countries in the world, and built schools in under-developed communities. I have worked with buildOn (building schools) and Hearts for Haiti (donations to orphanages) to provide a better quality of life, and hopefully bring sustainable resources to these communities. Having the chance to then capture these moments, and to help create them into a story, is so much more than I could ask for.
